Hey, my name is Francois.

My entire life I have been intrigued about the art of capturing something. I had a polaroid camera when I was 6 years old and was astonished by the things one could do with this piece of equipment. Today, I am still intrigued by it, intrigued by capturing moments into a memory that would last not just a moment, but a lifetime. I struggle with the idea of change, I develop severe anxiety from the concept of change, and because of that I try to take a photo of everything from family to friends, my animals, my adventures.. everything that truly matters.

That includes you, my client. Because I want you to be able to look back at that which truly matters to you as well. That is what matters to me. "Aroha Fotografie" is not just a name, it is a feeling. A devotion to the art of photography and the love I have for it, hence the word

A R O H A which means "love" in the Maori language.
